He has taken part in a number of TV and radio programmes including the Emmy award winning Stephen Fry documentary “the Secret Life of the Manic Depressive”, and for the last two years has been a consultant to the EastEnders bipolar story line. His research has featured in national newspapers and radio, including Womens Hour on radio 4. He has worked extensively with both user groups such as the Manic Depressive Fellowship, and in the Royal College of Psychiatrists, chairing the Public Engagement and Education committee of the Section of Perinatal Psychiatry.
