Since 2006, Claudine has been the Public Engagement Officer for the Wales Gene Park, a partnership between Cardiff University, Techniquest and NHS Wales funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. She develops and delivers projects which: raise public awareness of genetics, encourage discussion and debate about the issues surrounding advances in genetics, and provide a platform for public audiences to contribute to public consultations.
Claudine was born and brought up in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. She has a BSc(Hons) in Pharmacology from King’s College, London and a MSc in Science, Culture and Communication from the University of Bath. Prior to joining the Wales Gene Park, Claudine worked as an editor for a medical communication agency and a journal publisher. She’s a keen cyclist, terrible roller blader and makes incredibly delicious cheesecakes.
