DR. ANDREW BARTLETT is a sociologist of science interested in the way that scientific work is organised. Employed by the Wales Gene Park and Cesagen he is in the process of writing papers on the shape of big science in psychiatric genetics, the emotional labour required to build this big science, and the development of bioinformatics as an inter-discipline.
Andrew studied biology and human genetics before moving into the sociology of science, completing his PhD thesis 'Accomplishing Mapping the Human Genome' in 2008. He is a keen sportsman and enjoys films.
